David Brun

Hello, my name is David Brun. I am a long‑time North Vancouver resident with deep family and community roots. My wife Karyn, an Education Assistant in School District 44, and I are raising our two sons, Jack and Sam. Jack has recently graduated and is exploring post‑secondary options, and Sam is currently attending Carson Graham. Many residents may have seen me around the community with my black Labrador guide dog, Nadia.

I attended high school and post‑secondary institutions in North Vancouver before beginning a varied career that included small‑business ownership, real estate, and more than twenty years with TD Canada Trust, where I served as Customer Relations Manager for the Pacific Region. For the past nine years, I have been co‑founder of Gateway Navigation CCC Ltd., a social‑impact company focused on inclusion, accessibility, training, and employment.

As an elected volunteer Board member and Treasurer for Cypress Gardens, I focus on sound governance supported by audited financial reporting and pragmatic decision‑making for maintenance and replacement planning, with a commitment to transparency and meaningful owner involvement.

Finally, for fun and fitness my son Sam and I can be found with my fellow blind and sighted paddlers dragon boat racing on False Creek.
