I initiated the City's living wage certification, expanded childcare on City lands, strengthened supports for tenants displaced by redevelopment, restored City funding for school playground upgrades and launched the Multicultural Community Festival task force.

I don’t have all the answers but I know that good decisions start with listening to different perspectives, finding common ground and keeping students at the centre of the conversation.

I would be honoured to bring that approach to the Board and advocate for our community to ensure our strategic direction aligns with our shared vision.

These experiences shaped my belief that every student deserves access to a high-quality public education, regardless of background or circumstance.

If elected, I will advocate strongly for adequate and sustainable funding, fair and transparent resource allocation, and equality of opportunity across our schools. I will fight to ensure students and educators have the support they need to succeed.

I am seeking re-election as a North Vancouver School Trustee to build on the progress we have made over the past four years.

I believe good governance means listening, asking thoughtful questions and working collaboratively to make decisions in the best interests of students.

I am proud of what we have accomplished: opening Cloverley Elementary, expanding schools and childcare spaces, and creating more opportunities for students through skilled trades and career pathways. We have focused on engaging students in their learning, supporting their well-being and preparing them for the opportunities ahead.

If re-elected, I will continue advocating for excellent public education, responsible stewardship of public resources, investment in our schools, and opportunities for every student to discover their strengths, pursue their interests and graduate with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.

I put my name forward because I believe every child deserves to learn, grow and succeed in a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment. Our school are the heart of our community and the decisions made by the Board of Education have a direct impact to the students, families, teachers and staff. The children are the future of our community, I will bring an open mind and willingness to listen and I am committed to work with the teachers, families, educators, staff and fellow Trustees. We need to plan for the future needs of our growing community.

These experiences have given me a strong appreciation for the important role that teachers and public schools play in supporting students, families, and strong communities.

With over 20 years of global leadership experience in finance, strategy, and governance, the focus remains on translating public resources into measurable, real-world impact inside every classroom. Strong governance is about delivering fiscal responsibility that puts classrooms first, championing future-focused education that prepares youth for life beyond graduation, and cultivating a school culture where every student feels a deep sense of belonging and every educator is supported.

Running for School Trustee is rooted in a single priority: putting students first and translating district resources into classroom excellence. Every child deserves an education that equips them with the confidence, resilience, and practical life skills to thrive: empowering them not simply to navigate the world around them, but to shape it.

Strong public schools, engage families, and supportive, inclusive, secular learning environments are important for student success.

I am an advocate for arts education, the arts IN education and the importance of the A in STEAM.

I believe this job involves listening to concerns, knowing who or where to direct those concerns and using relationships to effect change.

I understand the board’s fiduciary responsibility which includes ensuring any child in the district has access to a quality education, liaising with community organizations and social services to provide non-educational supports for kids, maintaining facilities and passing a balanced annual budget.

Public education continues to evolve as we better understand the students we are educating, how they learn and what they need to thrive.

Throughout my time on the Board, I have worked to keep students at the centre of decision-making.

My priorities are Students First; Ethical, Transparent and Accountable Governance; Building Relationships Through Trust and Engagement; and Belonging, Opportunity and Well-Being. I will continue to advocate for strong literacy and numeracy, inclusive learning environments, and the resources needed to meet the needs of students in today’s classrooms. Every student should have opportunities to learn, participate, belong and reach their potential.

Public education is the backbone of a strong community.

I believe the school system is key to a strong community foundation and I want to help ensure ours is exceptional.

Personally Invested: With 4 young children in (or about to enter) the North Van public school system, I am personally committed to ensuring our schools provide excellent educational experiences in the long-term. I also have an up-close understanding of the realities families experience as they navigate the system.

High Quality Education I want to help reduce the burden of inefficient processes and unnecessary administration so teachers and staff can maximize the time and energy they spend providing high quality educational experiences for our children.

I want to give back by contributing to a strong, effective, and forward-looking public school system for the next generation.

Over the past eight years, I have worked with students, families, educators, staff, and community partners to support student success, strengthen public education, and advance equitable learning opportunities. I am seeking re-election because I believe in the value of public education and the role our schools play in helping every student reach their full potential. While we have made meaningful progress, important work remains.

My priorities are student and staff well-being, inclusive learning, support for diverse learners, Truth and Reconciliation, responsible use of technology and innovation, fiscal responsibility, sustainability, and effective governance.

North Vancouver has much to be proud of in its public education system, and I look forward to building on that success. I remain committed to bringing people together and supporting the well-being and growth of every student.

I believe strong school leadership begins with listening, collaboration, and a clear focus on student success. I am committed to advocating for students, supporting educators and staff, and strengthening public education in North Vancouver. I am running because every student deserves the support and opportunity to succeed. I have seen classrooms become more complex, demands on teachers and educational assistants increase, and funding pressures place greater strain on schools. I believe we need to strengthen support without lowering expectations.

As a Trustee, I will bring my experience as an educator and school leader to advocate for students, support strong public schools, and help ensure the resources students and educators need reach our classrooms.

Students, families and staff deserve to know their voices matter, to feel heard and respected, and to be supported as essential partners in both our school communities and within the broader public education sector.
