Jessica McIlroy

Jessica McIlroy has served on North Vancouver city council since being elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. Outside of council she works as a director of government relations with one of Canada’s leading national clean energy think tanks. During her time on council she has been a member of the board of directors of the North Vancouver City Library, North Van Arts Council and Lonsdale Energy, been chair of the city’s climate and environment task force, a member of the Metro Vancouver climate action and Indigenous relations committees, and the council representative on the City’s integrated transportation committee. Jessica believes strongly in collaboration and inter-governmental relations and is currently the 3rd Vice President of the Lower Mainland Local Government Association, a member of the BC Municipal Climate Leaders Council, and Vice-Chair of Climate Caucus. In 2025 Jessica was recognized for her leadership and efforts in local government climate action with a national Clean50 award.

Jessica remains dedicated to serving the North Vancouver community and working to find collaborative solutions to building a City that is climate resilient, provides sustainable and effective transportation options, and aims to be inclusive and equitable.
