North Vancouver resident, registered architect, business owner, mentor, and community volunteer with more than 30 years of professional experience, including more than 12 years in Canada.
My connection to education includes experience as a University Teaching Assistant from 2000 to 2002, many years of mentoring emerging professionals, and a family background in education through my mother who is a retired teacher. These experiences have given me a strong appreciation for the important role that teachers and public schools play in supporting students, families, and strong communities.
Throughout my career, I have served in leadership, governance, financial oversight, project management, mentoring, and collaborative decision-making roles. My service with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) and the City of North Vancouver has strengthened my understanding of responsible governance, accountability, public interest, and the importance of listening to different perspectives.
