I put my name forward because I believe every child deserves to learn, grow and succeed in a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment. Our school are the heart of our community and the decisions made by the Board of Education have a direct impact to the students, families, teachers and staff. The children are the future of our community, I will bring an open mind and willingness to listen and I am committed to work with the teachers, families, educators, staff and fellow Trustees. We need to plan for the future needs of our growing community.

My name is Senora Navales, long time resident of City of North Vancouver, and I am running for the position of School Board Trustee. I put my name forward because I believe every child deserves to learn, grow and succeed in a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment. Our school are the heart of our community and the decisions made by the Board of Education have a direct impact to the students, families, teachers and staff. The children are the future of our community, I will bring an open mind and willingness to listen and I am committed to work with the teachers, families, educators, staff and fellow Trustees. My working experience as a Porter and Ward Aid at Lion's gate Hospital, I have been an active member of HEU, which I listen, support and advocate for my fellow workers, for safe and inclusive work place. I believe in working respectfully, towards fair and practical solutions, this has strengthen my communication and leadership skills.
