Victoria Nwabuisi

Thank you for taking the time to read my short bio. I am a passionate community member who is deeply grateful to call Lynn Creek home. My family and I chose North Vancouver because we found a place where we can put down roots for generations to come.

My professional and volunteer experiences have taken me across different fields, including project management, technology and education, as well as local and international community service. I have served on the Social Planning Advisory Council (SPAC) with the City Council, where I helped advise on grants supporting non-profit organizations and community initiatives. I have also organized shoreline cleanups and electronic recycling campaigns and volunteered with families navigating times of transition.

I’m running for District Councillor because I believe North Vancouver is changing, and I want to help us prepare thoughtfully for what comes next while preserving what makes this community special. I care about housing that allows people to put down roots, transportation that works for everyday life, strong neighbourhood connections, responsible growth, environmental stewardship, and preparing our community for climate and technological change.

I believe progress and preservation don’t have to be opposites. Good local government means listening with curiosity, asking thoughtful questions, working with others and planning proactively—not reactively. I want to help build a North Vancouver where communities can thrive and where future generations have the freedom to choose to call it home.
